Where The Wild Things Are interview with Spike Jonze; new pics emerge

Over at Aintitcoolnews, director of the children’s book classic film adaptaion of Where The Wild Things Are Spike Jonze sat down for a rare interview to explain what the hell is going on with the production. As we had mentioned before, this film has been stuck in production hell since the beginning of this decade (the first teaser trailer was attached to the 2000 film The Grinch). Rumors ranging from having to reshoot the entire film to the studio wanting to replace the child actor playing Max have plauged this film from the very beginning. The interview give us insight into where the film is at now (the film’s been locked for a few weeks and are now working on special effects and is on track to be released in about a year) as well as a more indepth tour of all that has been going on and how the book has been translated onto film. Not only that, but they also have some new, exclusive pics that don’t show too much but provide a little peek into the visual style of the film, which you’ve probably already seen above. Yeah, it looks dope and that year seems so far away but I guess we’ve waited this long, what’s another year, right?
