Wondercon panels & guests announced

picture-3picture-4So last week, the revelation of who was going to be at this years Wondercon was announced and the lineup isn’t to bad. What is Wondercon? Basically it’s San Diego Comic Con on a much smaller scale but just as cool and taking place in San Francisco at the Moscone Center on Friday, Feb. 27th – Sunday, Mar. 1st. So besides the loads & loads of uber-nerds (yes, I will be there) and stanky-ass fanboys, who’s gonna be there? There will be a Watchmen panel featuring director Zack Snyder & some unannounced cast members, a Terminator: Salvation panel with director McG and some cast members (oh, I pray Christian Bale shows up. I can already hear the audience quoting his famous tirade), a Chuck panel featuring stars Yvonne Strahocski & Zackary Levi among others. Some big names will also be there to sign autographs like Mark Hamill (c’mon), Carrie Fisher (c’mon really?), Ray Park (Darth Maul, Snake Eyes), Richard Kiel (Jaws, Auto Chopper), Adam West (Batman, Family Guy), Martin Kove (that one’s for you, Mike Oz), Will Arnet (Arrested Development), Elijah Wood (Lord Of The Rings) and a whole lot more! Check out the entire list of autographers here and check out the full list of panels here, broken down by day. But that’s all good if your the Hollywood type, but the real show will be the artists showing up. Superstars like Jim Lee, Arthur Adams, J. Scott Campbell, Mike Mignola & more! time to get some more sketches in the sketchbook, indeed! Tickets are reasonably priced at $10-$15 per day and $40 for all three days and can be purchased online at the web site or you can also purchase them at Heroes Comics & Cards here in Fresno. If there are some fellow Fresnan nerds heading up there for this event, let us know. Maybe we can arrange some kind of meet up at the show. NERDS UNITE!
