The MTV Movie Awards brought the Twilight peeps to a stand still with the release of the first trailer for the sequel to the uber-popular movie from last year. There’s nothing more to say. Nope, nothing I can write here will even make a dent into the shittiness that this trailer brings. So why post it? Well, cause the first movie made a billion dollars and has a rabid fan base so if this will get me a few hits, I’m willing to sell my soul, fuck it. But if you’re a fan, please, by all means, try to sell me on why I should give a fuck about this film series.
My dear fellow Twiliteian…this film is on the verge of changing the evolution of film history on to its knees. It will send shivers down your spine. I rewatched that trailer over 28 times last night, and i cried at least 7 times.
You have to give a fuck about this film (and if film is art, then this film will be the greatest piece of art in history), because this film will make love you to like never before.
Oh Brodiemash… It’s not about the movie series, it’s about the books and the characters. It’s ok, the movies are not top notch… but they will still get my money. :P
I will you on this…It’s not about the movies its about the books. I saw a MAJOR flaw in the trailer…and for all you who have read the books you know what I’m talking about. I will however be spending my birthday weekend seeing this movie…ok…not the whole weekend obviously…drr. Rock…me and Rach will totally drag you and you will like it! haha…or not.
LULZ! Like I said, I’ll eventually watch the films but to get me to watch them theatrically… good luck to the both you & Rach!
@Slap Happy: Well, the strange thing is that I did shead a couple tears in watching that trailer… from my brown eye! :) But SRLSLY, maybe I do need a pasty vampire-esque girl in my life to teach my about love and tossing foos through pianos and shit. I think I’ll be heading down to Hot Topic and find myself one right after I eat this garlic sandwich. (Are the Twilight vampires your generic stake in the heart, garlic fearing, sunlight hating, garden variety type vampires?)
@Solitaire: Yeah, I’m sure the books have some value in them for some people, sure. I only read comic books now ever since I’ve banished REAL books from my sight after a traumatic childhood accident involving me getting locked in a library for a month and a half :) But my problem is with the film series and the craptastic trailers they’ve released for them which have done nothing to convince me to see the film. On the plus side, all this “vampire book” talk has convinced me to pick up my first novel in a long time: Guillermo Del Toro’s “The Strain” will be getting swooped up by me tomorrow! Fuck-a-Twilight!
Brodie, you might be in luck. I do believe Hot Topic has some special Twilight offer for young pasty white girls in fresno. You can get one for $25.99 (or $18.99 if you have a discount card).
Good luck.
