So Peter Jackson did the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and he became a god among directors. Then came King Kong and some skepticism set in and although I thought it was a visually stunning film, I found it kinda cold & heartless. For his latest film, Peter Jackson is getting serious, though. The Lovely Bones is based on the best-selling novel of the same name in which a murdered young girl watches down from heaven on her family & her killer. Kinda reminds me of What Dreams May Come but with less Robin Williams. I’ve always found it interesting to see what different people’s interpretations of what heaven looks like and from the looks of this, Jackson comes through. reminds me of the invisible movie with the goku guy. peter jackson should make this better though. a little bit like what dreams may come hopefully a bit less freaky, a bunch of faces staring at you about damnation tends to creep me out
