Dem Trailers: The Green Hornet

The film that was originally to be directed by Kevin Smith and ultimately landed in Michel Gondry’s hands finally has it’s first trailer. And it doesn’t look a thing like a Gondry film, which could go either way with the Swede creator. The trailer doesn’t do much to counter the bad buzz on the film and with a release date of January, all signs point to a studio whom doesn’t believe in the film very much. It doesn’t look horrible but then again it doesn’t look too special either. Hopefully I’m wrong, though. So what did you think of skinny Seth Rogen and the rest of the trailer? Let us know!

  1. Was the Green Hornet always goofy, or is that just a special Seth Rogen touch?

Also, The Standard's sign is upside down, and I can't tell if that's a mistake, or just the hotel's way of being ironic.

  2. I agree with Heather, Seth Rogen seemed a little goofy, but maybe that's the character, I dunno, I never followed the Green Hornet. Mostly it seems sort of blah, especially for a Gondry movie.

  3. I agree with both Heather & famous – Seth Rogen is just too goofy for this character. From what I saw with the trailer it seems to me they're trying to make it a 'Kick Ass' type of movie for which I think I'll see it when it comes to Netflix…..online not on DVD.
