Guess what?! My day job ain’t Dumb Drum. NAY, I have my own 9 to 5 that helps pay the bills and in turn help keep the site going and that job is graphic designer. Actually, I’d like to consider myself a fan of all things design related and recently, we’ve been blessed with a few documentaries that have crossed my love for film and my love for design. Sketches Of Frank Gehry, Helvetica & Objectified are just two of the recent film I’ve seen that have done an excellent job in melding the two universes and I’m so happy to see that Fresno Filmworks decided listen to me and brought Art & Copy to town and will be screening it tonight at Tower Theater. Two screenings are planned for tonight, first at 5:30pm and again at 8pm and tickets are $10 for general and $8 for students & seniors. The film, directed by Doug Pray (director of Scratch, one of my favorite documentaries of ALL TIME) dives into the world of advertising and how the campaigns that we’re bombarded with everyday come to fruition. If you’re a fan of the AMC TV show Mad Men, I highly recommend you check this film out as it will give you insight to how a modern advertising agency works to get ideas going and clients happy… or at least satisfied. Don Draper would certainly approve! Check out the trailer after the break and I hope to see you guys out there tonight!
