When I first spotted this video over at “They Came from the Valley” (our vimeo group for local filmmakers), I couldn’t quite decide what The Well Community Church was promoting. Good production value, decently humorous, it’s even got some amusing local cameos (look out for Kopi and Bubba Autry). Are they having a “Dodgeball” movie night? Nope. Turns out it’s the obvious answer, they have a dodgeball league. But more importantly, I was impressed with yet another local organization tapping into viral marketing. The church also started a monthly video newsletter called “The Bucket,” which sports some pretty nice production values as well, plus they’re Twittering, Facebooking, and MySpacing. Whoever is the Creative Director over there, looks like they’re doing something right. Other local orgs: take notes.
OK, that was hilarious? I love the “are you kiddin’ me?”!
Mad props to those involved in creating this spot. Well done! Kopi needs his own sitcom with his “Weekend At Bernie’s” sunglasses! And something tells me I wouldn’t want to catch an Autry thrown dodgeball!
Wow, that’s some good work. I too offer my angry propositions to those involved.
