UPDATE: And the Randomator 300™ has spoken! The winner of the two tix for tonight’s event is @OUTOFSTEPH! Thanks to everyone for participating and don’t forget to come on out this evening and have a good time with some fellow Tweeps! Also, A special someone from this very blog will be singing a special song during the game so as if you needed another reason to head out there, BOOM! Thanks to the Fresno Beehive for putting on this awesome event. For more info, peep this post out!
So you see all these people’s useless banter clogging up your Twitter stream everyday. They tell you about their dinner. They describe in vivid details how they mow their lawn. All the things you need to know so you can go to sleep knowing that you replacing the knowledge of all 50 capitals is gonna be worth it down the road. Well this Thursday, jump out of your stream and jump into the cesspool at the Great Fresno Tweetup going down this Thursday, June 16th starting at 6pm at Chuckchansi Park. Because I’m lazy, here are the deatils from the kind folk at the Fresno Beehive:
WHAT: The third annual Great Fresno Tweetup, a face-to-face meetup for Fresno’s local Twitter community. It includes baseball-watching, networking, games, prizes, cheap beer, possible heckling and, of course, lots of Tweeting,
WHEN: 6 p.m. Thursday, ’til whenever the game is over. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m., but our event starts at 6, which is when $1 Thirsty Thursday beers are available. Not a coincidence.
WHERE: Chukchansi Park, downtown Fresno. At the “Tweetdeck,” our private party deck overlooking left field.
WHY: Because Fresno’s Twitter community is: (a) Awesome, (b) Growing, (c) Full of fun people and (d) Somehow well-behaved enough that we haven’t been 86’d from The Chuk after the previous two Tweetups. Also, word is that Barry Zito of the Giants will be pitching on Thursday, so that’s pretty rad.
HOW: RSVP on Twitter with @fresnogrizzlies to get your special $5 tickets (which include your first $1 beer). Make sure you’re following @fresnobeehive for contests both at the event and leading up to it. Keep an eye on the #GreatFresnoTweetup hashtag to stay current on the all chatter.
Jose Canseco
Reggie Jackson
Laynce Nix!
Fresno’s hero of course. Tom Seaver of the 69 Miracle Mets.
Will Clark.
My Favorite baseball player of all times is Tayllor Lawson!!! Thats right! He’s an up and coming! Look for him showin up Buster Posey Behind the Plate in about 8 years!

Willie Mays.
That is an odd fact, sir.
My fave's – well not quite that simple. I'm a die-hard dodgers fan but my early childhood memories are of chili davis & candy Maldonado, who at the time were playing for our arch-nemisis the Giants. Even though I liked them I couldn't bring myself to root for them, at least not outloud. Case in point: 4 de mayo 1987, candy Maldonado hits for the cycle and chili Davis goes yard on a 3 run homerun to beat the Cards 10-7. Game included a broken jaw, 21 hits by those darn giants and even though it was a great game…I rooted in silence cuz after all I bleed dodger blue. I normally wouldn't admit this to anyone but since its for a chance to win #greatfresnotweetup tixs I'll let the cat outta the bag. Just don't repeat any of this.
Fernando Valenzuela is my favorite player of all times because wen i was small people would ask me my name which is Fernando and they would say oh "Fernando Valenzuela" and being that i lived in L.A. at the time i was and still a true DODGER fan so yea!!!!! i would practice pitching left handed anyone remember "FERNANDOMANIA" ……..chowwwwwwww……
No contest. Mario Mendoza. Tommy John may have a surgery named after him, but this guy's synonymous with mediocrity.
If I could pick ANY, it would be Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez or "The Great Hambino" – but I guess if I had to pick someone that ACTUALLY existed outside of the "The Sandlot" I would have to go w/ Nolan Ryan.
Favorite player of all time was Willy Stargell of the Pirates back in the 70's. Yes folks, I'm that old…
Cal Ripken, Jr., Pete Rose and Ichiro Suzuki.
Jackie Robinson.
