I love Subaru. Not so much for their sheet metal stylings but when we’re talking about drivetrain and engine internals, they have their stuff down. When I first bought my 2006 Impreza WRX, I wasn’t too sold on the look at first and the internet just made me rethink purchasing the car I’ve wanted since I first drove it back in 1998 playing Gran Turismo on the PS One. Now, I can’t stop staring at that pig nose. So last week, when Subaru announced the redesigned 2011 Impreza WRX STI model last week at the New York Auto Show, I wasn’t expecting too much in the styling department and they came through on that, unfortunately. I’m sure it’ll grow on me (especially once I see it with my own eyes) but there’s only a few aspects of the redesign that kinda excite me. With no info on the internals yet, we’ll just have to wait and see just how much faster than the previous models this version will be. But for now, check it out in it’s full mediocracy in the cool video Subaru has put together after the break and let us know: Would you buy one of these?
