Sports Illustrated gives us a glimpse at the future of print media, Apple’s upcoming tablet

Technology, man. That shit is pretty dope. I may still not have that jet pack I was promised years ago but at this rate I’ll be able to visit remote places from the comfort of my porcelain throne in no time with no need for the burning of fossil fuels! Sure, we may have to get used to the drastic changes in the way we normally do things but a few sacrifices are expected along the way to our paradise, right? With newspapers and magazines going down around us like a $2 whore with bad knees and the lack of a proper business model for making money off “free”, this example by Sports Illustrated might be the answer everyone’s been looking for. Now of course this all hangs on the pretense that Apple or some other company will soon release a tablet-like product to support the content (Kindle and all those other e-Book readers are temporary solutions in my tablet). I’m sure the tablet model they use is merely there for illustrative purposes but it may give a hint at what Apple has coming out soon. Oh what’s that? MacWorld is happening in early February? Well, print might have something to look forward to early next year after all. So what do you guys think? Is this the Deux Ex Machina that will save everything?
