Somewhere in Fresno, Bryan Harley is shaking his head and cursing the studio heads over at Warner Bros. Earlier today, it was announced that the director of such films as “300”, “Watchmen” and the upcoming “Sucker Punch” was picked to direct the big screen reboot of the Superman franchise. Rumors of a short list of directors has been floating around with some big names such as Tony Scott, Darren Aronofsky, Duncan Jones & Matt Reeves but nothing ever materialized until today. Some people might think he’s the wrong person for the job but I think WB loves this guy, which let him do the Watchmen film that he wanted to make without much interference and that may translate to a bigger budget with less restraints for one of their tent pole franchises. The tone of the film is the big question but with Snyder at the front of this and with Christopher Nolan supposedly overlooking this production, I have to say I’m kinda excited. So what do you think? What other directors would you like to have seen in the director’s seat on this one?
