Rolling Roadshow’s screening of “There Will Be Blood” goes down this weekend

The time has come for the Central Valley to get a taste of the awesomeness that is the Alamo Drafthouse’s Rolling Roadshow when it rolls into Bakersfield this weekend for a screening of P.T. Anderson’s classic film “There WIll Be Blood” at the Kern County Museum this Sunday, August 8th. The screening is free and begins at sundown (around 8pm) and the movie will be screened on an outdoor screen so be sure to bring your own chair or blanket. Beforehand, there will be activities going on such as this Gowalla Road Trip Challenge (which Bryan and I plan on trying to complete with video to come later) and the “I Drink Your Milkshake (through a very long straw)” challenge in order to win tickets for the after party so if you have nothing else planned for this Sunday, you should take a little trek down to Bakersfield for this awesome event. At very least, you need to attend to pick up one of those awesome posters up there by UK artist Olly Moss. The man does some good work, no? C’mon, you know you ain’t got nothing better to do this weekend, why not take a road trip and enrich your life with a little history? If any readers out there wish to join us on a caravan, drop us an email at info@dumbdrum.com. Hope to see some of you out there this Sunday!
