For all you Twitter peeps out there, tonight is your opportunity to get out of your dank cave for an evening and face these people whom you’ve got to know so intimately but have never smelled their breath as they spew sounwaves in your general direction. The Fresno Beehive have teamed up with the Fresno Grizzlies for The Great Fresno Tweetup. For all the deets, go here but it involves tweeting or retweeting or something cool like that and you get a ticket for $5 which includes a drink ticket for a $1 beverage and the opportunity to sit in the ultra l33t Tweetup section (which are, more than likely, the same fucking chairs that give you a back ache after the game) We Twits (Twats?) might think we’re above the World Of Warcraft or Second Life or Everquest folk but it’s all a ruse. We’re are one and the same. But fuck it, right?! Lets go get some beers and try our best to convert witty 140 character banter into actual conversations. Team Dumb Drum will be out there in the form of myself & Bryan Harley (I heard the even PartyMarty & Debbie might make an appearance) so if you see us, please feel free to come by and say hello and don’t mind our overpower nerd stank: it’s medical, swear. Oh and in case you wanted to follow us on Twitter and know EXACTLY when Bryan is taking a dump or Debbie is shaking her money maker, you can find us here:
It’s going to be so nice walking around Fresno tonight knowing all the nerds are contained in one convenient, out-of-the-way spot.
You walk around Fresno? Why?
I’m going to walk around the Tower District tonight before the oh-so-controversial traffic circles are put in. I figure tonight is the one night all of the know-it-all blowhards will be gone and I can enjoy the area in relative peace and quiet.
Hmmmm… I’m beginning to wonder if this whole Tweetup thing isn’t some big elaborate plan by you to get rid of all the city’s valuable “know-it-all blowhards” in one fell swoop. What would happen to the Fresno blogosphere then but become a scorched wasteland?
*Oh shit! He’s on to me!*
Yo I’ll be there tonight so I’ll be sure to stop by to say what’s up!
