People are calling this the surprise hit of last year but when you have a built in audience like Kirk Cameron’s religious platoon, it’s kinda unfair to label it as such. Bible people are gonna see Bible movies, right? Ad there’s like 17 billion Bible people in the US so do the math, your gonna make money (Hmmm, I should look into this phenomenon….making movies that make money). So the film has been released on video and although I had no intentions on ever checking this one out, seeing these awesome actors (consisting mainly of volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia) flex their acting chops have me reconsidering. I mean, I need some actors for our next swede and these people seem perfect! My favorite scene? The train/car rescue scene. Pure comedy! [via Slash Film]
My parents actually paid to see this in the theater. That’s no surprise. They are retired and see at least one movie a week. But the kicker is that they called to tell me how good it was and that I should go see it.
My wife gave up on checking my history long ago. He must have it bad because he actually had to beat up his computer to stop. I can USUALLY just leave the room.
