Random Goodness: Stormtroopers 9/11

Ever since I saw Loose Change, I knew that Emperor Palpatine was aware of the Rebels blowing up the Death Star. But it’s good to see that one year later, these Stormtroopers here haven’t not forgotten about that memorable day that so many innocent Empire Employees lost their lives at the hands of the terrorists. Man, I’m having Clerks flashbacks all of a sudden. Fucking savages in this town.

  1. hey, i'm not mad at you for not linking to me. i mean, i didn't make it, ch did, and they get their own linkage in the vid. and it's not the first time one of the fresno bloggers posted a video or something that was already posted by another one of us.

and i'm still shocked my team won. we looked bad this week.

  2. 1. No link love for Ed?
    2. The problem with this video is, it's dumb. Poorly conceived, anyway. Is it supposed to just be funny or just biting social commentary? It's slightly both, and therefore fails at both. I think the writers probably just had the Clerks conversation and thought, "That's funny! Let's do it!" then didn't take the time to figure out what the point would be. It's analogy for analogy's sake. Look, Ma, I can draw comparisons! So it turns out to be mildly amusing, half-heartedly poignant, and completely bland.

Sorry to be so harsh. It's because I care.

    1. 1. Fuck Ed! He beat me at Fantasy Football this week and we are not on speaking terms and that includes links to his site.

      2. Hope you aren't mad at me for not reading too much into that clip. I, for one, enjoy analogies (I was ROLLIN' at "The Chronicles Of Narnia" when compared to Christianity. Oh wait! Was that an "allegory"? Fuck it! Those crack me up, too!) and found this one humorous. Don't know about you but after this past 9/11 and having to hear people tell the same fucking mundane stories about what they were doing when they first heard about the attacks, this was a welcome relief for me. (C'mon! Those milky blue drinks didn't make you at least snicker?)

      3. And just to show my good faith: Ed Stewart totally beat me on this clip. And in Blogger Fantasy Football. @Ed: when we see each other on the streets… I gotsa cut ya!

Thanks for caring, sir! I wish more people cared :( Next time I see you, you getting a hug from me, willing or not!
