Today marks the release of Shane Acker’s 9 on the big screen but before it got the Hollywood treatment, the director had done this short here which was nominated for and Academy Award. Pretty amazing stuff and if you’re planning on checking out the film soon, maybe you should catch up on your history and see the progress from independent to full budget. And just to be clear, the film was directed by Shane Acker. Not Tim Burton. Not Timur Bekmambetov. I’ve encountered many a people asking me about the new animated Tim Burton film and they end up getting kicked in the face. Because I’m a douche.
