Okay, Spike Jonze’ last movie divided audiences (including this guy) but as far as the dude’s talent, I cannot possibly oversell this guy. His ideas and his method of projecting those thoughts onto film are amazing! So with Sundance starting up this week, his newest short film will debut there and today we’ve received the trailer for his robot love story I’m Here and it looks amazing. Now I know that these kinda of stories aren’t everyone’s bag but I love seeing this dude’s juxtaposition between reality & fantasy. Hopefully we won’t have to wait to long to see the full feature very soon. So what do you guys think of this computer love story?
Weird, but cool. I might have liked Wall-E more if he had emoted as well as CPU Head here.
Nice. I'm excited to see this short, as well as everything else this guy does.
this seems more interesting then where the wild things are, which i fell asleep to, seriously! i did, but i was kinda tired when i watched it.
Hm. How short is short film? Is it going to be like 10 seconds longer than this, with those 10 seconds featuring Absolut, or is it going to be an actual, decent length short film? Either way, whoever cuts these trailers and chooses the music deserves an award. This one and Where The Wild Things Are with that Arcade Fire track always get me all worked up. Damn you Jonze.
It is a 35 minute short from what I've read, with minimal product placement. It's been picked up by IFC, and should air sometime this year.
