So we haven’t done a Dumb Drum Gettogether since Clerks and seeing as I’ve been busy working on actually making a movie lately, it might be a little bit (hold on, Top Gun is coming up next week….Hmmmm) but don’t fret cause some other local webbernetz people have stepped up. The fine folks over at SonicFoundation.net are putting together this Booze & Movie Night for this weeks Flashback Feature of Purple Rain. As if you needed another reason to see this film (I do as I’ve never seen it, probably never will. Meh. Please feel free to convince me on my I need to see this film in the comments section) the promise of alcohol should help. By now you should know but if you don’t, the film starts at 9pm over at Edwards Theater and tickets will run you $5 but the boozin’ will begin at 7pm over at World Sports Cafe so swing by there around that time, bring a friend or three and have some fun! And if one night of drinking & Prince isn’t enough, the very next night Ms. Soulflower will be putting on her monthly tribute series over at Palominos and this month is Celebrating Prince starting at 9:30pm. It’s a free show with some awesome DJ’s spinning some good tunes. Did I mention FREE!? So now you have something to do at the ass end of this work week.

Top Gun. I’m dying to see this on the big screen again, man….
Purple Rain. I don’t even have a clue about what this movie was about. But if it has anything to do with Prince, it’s probably rediculous.
Top Gun kicks ass but now that I have my Vizio and my Harman receiver on it’s way, I don’t think I’ll ever have to watch a movie in a theater again. “Too close for missles, switching to guns” PEW PEW PEW PEW……..BLADOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
