Ah, the original Nintendo Game Boy, with it’s ugly ass monochromatic green screen and dimensions that felt like you were carrying a brick in your pocket at all times, was truly a work of art when it was released 20 years ago. But no matter, cause it was awesome. The hours… NAY! DAYS spent trying to one up people’s Tetris scores & being able to play Super Mario Land on the bus ride home was amazing! Geez, those were the days. Well that was a long time ago and the system is still around and considered tha most successful video game system of all time. The Game Boy was released in Japan on April 21, 1989 (we didn’t get it on our shores until August of the same year) and the rest was history. Lets sit back, watch that classic commercial and reminisce about the days before multiple colors, built in cameras & touch screens. And WTF is up with that dancing robot in the commercial?
