Plain and simple, this film a masterpiece! An endeavor of acting, direction, cinematography & style. I’ve only recently seen Raging Bull when it was (re)released on DVD earlier this year and it blew me away. I’ve always heard of this film and it although it left me a greater deal of respect for Martin Scorsese it made me wonder if he’d ever go back to make a film outside his usual realm that he’s been hanging out in for the last decade or so. It also made me think about our ol’ friend up in Skywalker Ranch. What would Lucas be making right now if Star Wars hadn’t been the massive juggernaut it became. Would we be seeing more experimental films like THX 1138? I don’t know, just going off topic for a bit there, sorry. So anyways, tonight Edwards will be screening Raging Bull starring Robert DeNiro (in his Oscar winning role of Jake LaMotta) & Joe Pesci. You know the rules: Movie starts at 10pm over at Edwards Theater in Riverpark & tickets are $5. Maybe we’ll see you out there!
