i realize the first f&f wasn’t great film per se, but there was enough story & character that it was compelling at least. it seemed like the crap they churned out after was just intended to minimally relate and capitalize on the surprise success of the first film. and they didn’t deliver. this movie gets back to that hint of story + fast cars + boobies and so it’s compelling again.
