I saw the original “Tron” soon after it was first released back in the days. I remember nothing of it. Last night, I saw it again for “the first time” and I have to say it was pretty dumb. I’m still hella looking forward to December’s “Tron Legacy” and with this new ad featuring everyone’s favorite electronica duo Daft Punk from the film and a new song called “Derezzed” from the soundtrack, it just made me forget how bad the original was. I can’t wait for the film but the soundtrack comes a close second in the HYPE column for me. This film simply looks and sounds AMAZING!
At least Jeff Bridges was kinda hot in the first one. And the sounds effects were funny.
The second movie doesn't have to do much to be better than the first, though. I hope it succeeds so that Disneyland will feel compelled to retheme the StarCade in Tomorrowland as Flynn's Arcade.
Or bring back the PeopleMover which featured the Light Cycle scene when you travelled through one of the Tomorrowland buildings!
