Dem Trailers: Legion

When I first heard that Scott Stewart, one of the founders of the SFX house The Orphanage, had written a film and was going to direct it, I thought it was going to be a short, similar to the few others I had seen since the company’s inception. But this year at San Diego Comic-Con, the audience was presented with something much different: a full out red band trailer for Legion, which has now been released on the net. I hadn’t heard much on the story before seeing his trailer and the premise seems awesome but it seems to become a bit formulaic towards the end and reminds me of a George Romero flick. But fuck do those spider-crawling humans creep the shit out of me and there’s a couple in there! Check it out and let us know what you think or the trailer. Remember, it is a red band trailer so it’s NSFW due to language and some violence.

  1. This movie looks great. But I have a soft spot for these types of movies (I'm thinking The Prophecy and Prophecy II, staring Glenn Danzig). Also: Dogma, which isn't the same on the surface, but is totally in the same vein. Point being: From the trailer, this is a movie I will see (and perhaps love).

  2. So a fallen angel battles non fallen angels with a machine gun? Makes sense to me.

But I really like Paul Bettany so I’ll probably see this. That and for the cussing granny. Cause cussing grannies crack me up for some reason (best was Betty White in Lake Placid).
